RESURFACING OF NOVA PRIMARY HIGHWAYS
The scope of this project included milling 870,144 square yards of roadways, placing over 25,000 tons of SM9.5 D Hot Mix Superpave Asphalt to resurface the roadways, and striping and marking the primary routes in Arlington County, VA, such as Routes 50, 27 and 120.
Project Significance
This project showcases Fort Myer Construction’s sensitivity to the construction area, and ability to skillfully manage the flow of heavy daily traffic during the resurfacing process. The project was completed six months ahead of the contract completion date, in January 2009.
