Fort Myer has a successful track record of completing design-build projects with an integrated delivery approach. In 2014, our New York Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation Construction Project Team won a 2014 IPI Partnered Project of the Year Award, Sapphire Level. This highly-acclaimed design-build project, completed for DDOT in October 2013, was designed by TY Lin International.  This project also received recognition from America’s Transportation Awards, securing the “Best Use of Innovation Award”. The organization commended the value engineering alternative built to improve mobility for all transportation modes around the project.

 

We are a team player in design-build partnerships. Successfully collaborating in a Joint Venture with Parsons Corporation to rehabilitate multiple roadways in Wards 3 and 4 in Washington DC, we undertook the District’s first Design-Build project. Our work earned the International Road Federation 2006 Global Road Achievement Award in the Innovative Design-Build Approach to Rehabilitate Urban Roadways category.

 

Our I-66 design-build project earned national recognition for excellence in construction of asphalt pavement.
