Work consisted of upgrading existing streetlights, installing new streetlights and all supporting infrastructure on Federal Aid roadways in Washington, DC. Project locations are citywide and based on illumination requirements.

 

Project Significance

This multi-year project highlights Fort Myer Construction’s expertise in installing new street lighting throughout the District of Columbia, on arterial roadways, urban streets and in residential areas. Importantly, the project was conducted in conjunction with the demanding needs of DC’s evolving requirements for lighting and security. A minimum of inconvenience to local businesses and residents is achieved through smart planning and tunnel boring to avoid disruptions to street and roadway traffic as well as pedestrian traffic.
