REHABILITATION OF BRENTWOOD ROAD, NE
Involved the reconstruction and upgrading of Brentwood Road, 9th Street, W Street, and Edgewood Terrace, NE. Improvements included, storm drainage, streetlights, traffic signals, roadways, sidewalks and neighborhood landscape renovations.
Project Significance
The project is a part of the revitalization of the neighborhoods located in the area of the Rhode Island Avenue Metro Station, a mixed use district. Demonstrated in this project is Fort Myer’s ability to implement street construction with minimal disruptions to the surrounding area, while providing improvements that will enhance vehicular and pedestrian movement along Brentwood Road and around Montana Avenue and W Street, NE.
