LOCAL PAVEMENT RESTORATION CITYWIDE
Fort Myer Construction was a subcontractor to Capitol Paving for this IDIQ contract. Scope of work included resurfacing existing roadways on DC’s major roads, historic locations, and residential areas including, RFK stadium, New York Avenue, Connecticut Avenue and various DC residential streets.
Fort Myer’s pavement restoration responsibilities included milling and asphalt paving, deep patching, and patching on streets as directed by Capitol Paving through task orders. Work was requested on an on-going basis and work was normally completed within a 2 week span.
Project Significance
Fort Myer Construction confronted many restrictions including time limitations and massive traffic management. Due to our extensive experience and the specialists on staff, we were able to provide precise coordination of equipment and meticulous management of staff, which allowed us to navigate these difficulties without any delays or unexpected expenses, including minimal disruption to the traveling public.
FMCC owns and operates two NAPA accredited asphalt plants in the DC area, providing various federal and state approved mixes. These assets contribute to our ability to finish jobs on time and within budget.
