The Wharf is reestablishing Washington, DC as a waterfront city and destination. This remarkable, mile-long stretch along the Potomac River is coming to life with restaurants, retailers, residences, and businesses—all complemented by monumental views and a vibrant culture.

Fort Myer Construction worked with Clark Construction on permanent surface restoration involving curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, and roadway reconstruction including asphalt milling and overlay.

Project Significance

This project demonstrates Fort Myer’s ability to be on-call throughout the entire contract. This was due in part to multiple types of construction ongoing simultaneously as the project prepared for Grand Opening. Fort Myer had to be fully prepared to restore and install new asphalt/concrete throughout the duration of the project. By Fort Myer owning and operating multiple asphalt plants, we are able to efficiently support our own paving jobs by providing the pre-approved asphalt mix required for the job.
