PUBLIC SPACE ALLEY – LIGHT SYSTEM RELOCATION
The Public Space Alley – Light System Relocation project was a time sensitive project subcontracted to Fort Myer Construction by McCullough Construction, LLC to replace the public space alley lighting system from the south side to the north side of the alley. The project was rushed due to the demolition of the Greenway Shopping Center at the intersection of Minnesota Avenue and East Capitol Street, NE.
Fort Myer’s responsibilities included, the removal of 6 wood poles, overhead wiring, and removing of all existing lighting fixtures. Installation of new wood poles with 70W LED Cobra head fixtures and #6 Triplex for overhead ST LT power feed.
Project Significance
This project shows our electrical department’s ability to handle time-sensitive projects in an efficient manner and on budget. Our team was required to perform this job in less than a week and due to our quick responsiveness and on-call staff, this was no problem for us to successfully complete.
