- CITYWIDE ALLEY
Fort Myer Construction was retained to manage the upgrading of unimproved, poorly maintained alleys throughout the city of Washington, DC. This project involved a range of surfaces – asphalt, concrete, brick and cobblestone – based on the most compatible solution for the neighborhood. In confined spaces and hard-to access areas, Fort Myer’s skilled crews carefully removed old material and upgraded the alley surface to improve alleys across the city.
Project Significance
This project was one of several maintenance projects that the District of Columbia Department of Transportation had an option of renewing on a yearly basis. This project was under contract to Fort Myer Construction beginning in March 2007.
