Project Significance
Fort Myer Construction had to adhere to a tight schedule to ensure that trees were not removed during bat season which was April – June. It is important to protect the bat species, because they increase agriculture and forest health by providing woodland and crop pest-protection. Night and weekend work occurred regularly to keep the project on track.
