BALLSTON QUARTER: MIXED USE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT
The Ballston Quarter Residential Development project constructed a 455,000 square-foot, 22-floor, mixed-use building containing 406 residential units, 66,000 square feet of retail space, and four levels of below-grade parking. The building features a penthouse level, common amenity spaces, and a rooftop pool. This structure is contiguous with the Ballston Common Mall. The mall will have a new, fresh mix of great restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and family activities.
Fort Myer was responsible for the removal and installation of traffic signal poles, relocation of existing traffic signalization work, and removal of all feeders in existing conduits.
Project Significance
This project involved the replacement of existing traffic signals with state of the art vehicular and pedestrian systems to incorporate acceptable traffic flow with improved pedestrian safety.
