Due to long-term future community growth in the DC area, Pepco has made a commitment to perform equipment and cable inspections, along with the necessary upgrades needed to accommodate recent service issues, new businesses, and homes.

Fort Myer’s Electrical Division was responsible for surveying the work with Pepco Field Staff, providing traffic control, and pulling wires.

Project Significance

The work on this project was to upgrade a Pepco Distribution System, a system that collectively delivers electricity from a substation to customers’ homes and businesses. This project provided support and power to a newly constructed building at 3rd & Florida Ave, NE. This type of work is part of Pepco”s Reliability Enhancement Plan.
