Recently underway, construction on the next segment of Crosstrail Boulevard will create a four-lane link between Sycolin Road and Kincaid Boulevard through Bolen Park.
During a groundbreaking ceremony in June, county supervisors said the project is another example of their work to solve transportation problems.
Supervisors awarded the $15.7 million construction contract to Fort Myer Construction Corporation.
The first segment of Crosstrail Boulevard, from Bolen Park to Kincaid Boulevard was recently completed, and the second portion will take nearly 3 years to complete.
